The final countdown is on! We are in the home stretch, and the excitement is REAL! The Gammas are busy wrapping up units and assignments and look forward to a fun week next week!
Math
Gamma twos are completing their final math unit on area and perimeter by creating a blueprint for a zoo! It’s been fun to watch them apply their math skills in a real life way! Gamma ones had a blast this week surveying AHB students and creating graphs to display the data.
ELA
Persuasive essays are almost complete! It’s so impressive to see how much they have grown as writers this year. They have improved so much with the writing process, especially in their willingness to edit and revise initial drafts. We wrapped up our drama unit and had so much fun performing our fractured fairy tales on Thursday. As a special treat, they performed them in the upstairs room of the church on a real stage! They did an amazing job.
Theme
On Monday and Tuesday, we presented our theme projects. We are always amazed at how creative and thorough their projects are, and this quarter was no exception. The posters were so well done, and the mascots and calls to actions were so appropriate and fun! On Wednesday, we were grateful to finally have a hot, sunny day. It was a great day to make s’mores and “cook” them in our solar ovens. We are super proud of all of the Gammas for their hard work and initiative this year. Thank you, parents for supporting their learning at home. We couldn’t have done it without you!
