This week, the Betas completed their multiplication post-test and end-of-year exam! These guys nailed multiplication and showed so much tenacity throughout!
ELA
We finished off phonics with… assessments! After that we teamed up to perform partner plays (a sneaky way to work on reading fluency ;) – and so entertaining! I’m so proud of their growth this year!
With writing projects finished, we continue to pursue poetry. This week we tried our hand at writing Triplet and Season style poems.
Theme
Two Hives was awesome! A bit muddy but we made seed bombs, tasted Fall & Spring samples of honey, and got to try on beekeeper suits!
Later this week we learned about compound eyes and different types of insect mouth parts. The Betas shined during an engineering challenge when they created their own compound eye views using a limited set of supplies!
On Thursday the Betas were put to the test when they were offered some delectable, edible insects!
