This Week in Alpha…
WHAT A GREAT WHIRLWIND OF A WEEK! I’d like to send a big shout out to all parents who helped in our community clean-up day… I couldn’t have done it without you! We had quite a week – drinking from the firehose of all the Alpha-ways of doing things. Big themes that came up: building community, patience, feeling included, being listened to feels really good, there’s a big difference between living rooms and a classroom with 13 people in it… and in Alpha, we don’t say “I can’t,” we say, “I can’t yet.”

We did our Class Jobs…
Divvied up table team supplies…

We practiced “annoying our friends” and stopping when they asked us to stop – because “STOP means stop.”
We bedazzled our P&P folders…
Gamma Anna visited with us to give us some great info about her service dog Noodle!

We learned how to use shapes to make birds!
We took turns to find alllll the lowercase letters!
We watercolored bookmarks and went “shopping” for books to put into their book baskets.
We used deductive reasoning to figure out “Which Alpha is Hiding…”
…and we used straight edges to make straight lines and zig-zags…
…and cool shapes out of playdough – what a cube!

Making our self-portraits…
RECESS!!!!!

Our Class Helper put our first leaf on our Tree of Appreciation!
One of our Alphas took the initiative to put all their table team’s chairs under the table…ALL by herself – neat and sweet!
