AHB deploys new website

AHB puts in website into production. The parent driven IT Workgroup has been working hard to deliver a new school website.

The IT Workgroup has been working hard to get our new AHB website into production.  This new website is built on top of Umbraco, and open source Content Management System(CMS). The benefits include much easier modification and updates to the website by the staff.  Additionally, the new platform contains a blogging subsystem that can be used by teachers and staff.  We expect to build new school services on top of this platform in the future.

Thanks to Jonathan Bryant, Jennifer Hodges, Ali Ronder, and Candace Hutchens for their efforts in helping get this new website into production.  Jonathan drove the technnical aspects of the project. He helped introduce the Umbraco platform to AHB and drove the prototyping of many of the subsystems we are using.  Jennifer helped us with graphical design including the beautiful images on the Home Page.  Candace and Ali also worked hard helping define the requirements for the project and organizing the content that resides within website.  Ali and Candace uploaded and cleaned up the content once it was loaded into our new system.  Thanks to all of you.
