ducational Philosophy
hands-on, meaningful, &/or project-based instruction in reading, writing, science, social studies/history, and mathematics
mixed-aged classes with mixed-ability grouping for project work
ability grouping* (within each class) for specific skill instruction in math and reading*NOTE: Though we ability group within mixed-age classes, we are not able to provide a separate curriculum for a single student. Therefore, AHB is generally not the best fit for profoundly gifted students or students with other significant learning differences.
